KELO-COTE ^® Scar Gel UV is a patented, self-drying silicone gel for the prevention and treatment of raised scars, such as hypertrophic scars and keloids .

KELO- ^COTE® UV Scar Gel is proven to make scars flatter, softer, and smoother. It relieves the discomfort and itching associated with scars and reduces skin discoloration.

UV rays can negatively impact the wound healing process and sensitive scar tissue. Hyperpigmentation and sun-induced redness can result. For this reason, fresh scars should be protected from sun and UV rays.

KELO- ^COTE® UV Scar Gel with SPF 30 is specially formulated to protect scars from the adverse effects of the sun. The sunscreen protects the scar from UV radiation, thus preventing dark pigmentation.

KELO-COTE ^® Scar Gel UV is ideal for the face, neck, hands, upper body and other skin areas exposed to the sun.

KELO- ^COTE® scar gels can be used alternately with KELO-COTE® spray and scar plasters. The application can be alternated, for example, on a day/night basis. However, silicone scar plasters, gels, and spray should not be used simultaneously (on top of each other/in multiple layers).

Very good tolerability as it is free from parabens, paraffins, perfumes and PEG emulsifiers.

Areas of application:
KELO-COTE® Scar Gel UV is intended for the prevention and treatment of fresh scars, including hypertrophic scars and keloids, after general surgical procedures, after aesthetic procedures, in cases of injuries, wounds and burns.

KELO-COTE® UV Scar Gel is also suitable for children from three months and for use on sensitive skin, on the face and on the eyelid.

Application:
Apply a very thin layer of KELO-COTE® UV Scar Gel to the affected area twice daily and allow the gel to dry. If KELO-COTE® UV Scar Gel hasn't dried within 3-4 minutes, you've probably used too much UV Scar Gel. Carefully remove any excess gel and then allow the area to continue drying.

After drying, cosmetics or sunscreen can be applied to the KELO-COTE® Scar Gel UV Film.

Recommended treatment duration:
At least 2-3 months. For very large and older scars, longer treatment may be necessary.
