EpiGARD Dressing 8 x 23cm Synthetic Skin Substitute (for temporary wound covering)

EpiGARD is a skin substitute for temporary wound coverage.

It ensures ideal conditioning of the wound bed by cleansing and maintaining moisture in order to optimally prepare for subsequent skin grafting.

EpiGARD is made of a non-textile, two-layer plastic material without additives:
The top is made of a thin, microporous film.
It is permeable to air and water vapor, so no secretion can build up, yet the wound is protected from bacteria or fluids penetrating from outside.

Application:
EpiGARD should be renewed at the slightest sign of irritation, infection, or fluid accumulation.

Do not use EpiGARD with creams or ointments.

EpiGARD is suitable for open wound treatment and preparation for secondary wound closure such as: open fractures with soft tissue damage, soft tissue damage and large skin defects, contaminated wound surfaces.

Do not use EpiGARD in the following cases: wounds with pocket formation, massive infections with heavy secretion and in patients with impaired blood clotting.
