KELO-COTE^® Scar Gel UV is a patented, self-drying silicone gel for the prevention and treatment of raised scars, such as hypertrophic scars and keloids.

KELO-COTE^® Scar Gel UV is clinically proven to help flatten, soften, and smooth scars. It relieves discomfort and itching associated with scars and reduces skin discoloration.

UV rays can negatively affect the wound healing process and delicate scar tissue. This can result in hyperpigmentation and sun-related redness. For this reason, fresh scars should be protected from the sun and UV rays.

KELO-COTE^® Scar Gel UV with sun protection factor 30 has been specially developed to protect scars from the damaging effects of the sun. The sun protection ensures that the scar is shielded from UV radiation, thereby preventing dark pigmentation.

KELO-COTE^® Scar Gel UV is ideal for the face, neck, hands, upper body, and other sun-exposed areas of the skin.

KELO-COTE^® scar gels can be used alternately with KELO-COTE® spray and scar sheets. They can be alternated, e.g., on a day/night cycle. However, silicone scar sheets, gels, and spray should not be used simultaneously (layered on top of one another).

Areas of application:
KELO-COTE® Scar Gel UV is intended for the prevention and treatment of fresh scars, including hypertrophic scars and keloids, resulting from general surgical procedures, aesthetic procedures, injuries, wounds, and burns.

KELO-COTE® Scar Gel UV is also suitable for children from three months of age and for use on sensitive skin, the face, and the eyelid.

Application:
Apply a very thin layer of KELO-COTE® Scar Gel UV to the affected area twice a day and allow the gel to dry. If KELO-COTE® Scar Gel UV has not dried within 3-4 minutes, you have likely applied too much. Gently remove the excess gel and allow the skin area to continue drying.

Once dry, cosmetics or sunscreen can be applied over the KELO-COTE® Scar Gel UV film.

Recommended duration of treatment:
At least 2-3 months. Longer use may be necessary for very large or older scars.
